How Much does it cost to attend Equip Conference?

To view our pricing please go to the registration pages. There are subsidies available. If you would like to apply for a subsidy, please contact us  prior to registering. 

Please note, that children of our strand leaders and strand 4 delegates can attend Equip Conference for free. Please use the promotional code 'EQUIPSERVE' when registering your child.

 

When do registrations close?

Registrations will close a week prior to the beginning of each conference. South Island registrations close on Sunday 26th December, 2016 and North Island registrations close on Sunday 2nd January, 2017.

 

What ways can I pay for the conference? 

You can either pay by credit card, internet banking, cheque, or cash at the door. It is a great help to us, if you are able to pay prior to the conference.

 

CAN I PAY MY FEES WHILE I'M AT THE CONFERENCE?

Yes, you can pay on the day of registration although we do not have Eftpos facilities available. It is our preference that you pay prior to the conference by cheque or by direct deposit into our account, or by Credit Card when registering.

 

CAN I PAY IN INSTALMENTS?

You are very welcome to pay in instalments, but we do ask that you complete payment prior to or on the Monday of the Equip Conference.

 

IS THERE ANY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE?

There is a limited amount of funding available to help you attend Equip (especially for families). If you would like to apply for a subsidy, please contact us  prior to registering. Any available funds will be distributed at the discretion of the Equip Conference committee.

If you are a part of an Anglican Church in Christchurch, the Lay Training Fund is available to help you attend. You can download a form here from the Anglican Life website. 

 

Are children welcome at the Equip Conference?

Yes, Equip is a family friendly conference and therefore provides a creche and children's programme. These programmes run for the mornings at Equip and cater for 0-11 year olds.  There are limited spaces for these services so get in quick! The creche is predominantly for the children of leaders, but there a spaces available for delegates as well. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding availability. Please note, there is no official program for 12-15 year olds at Equip Conference. They are welcome to attend the conference and help in the kids program or join the main sessions.

 

Will a bookstall be available at Equip Conference?

We will have a well stocked bookstall with a range of excellent titles that will run throughout the week.

 

Is it possible to arrange transport to/from the airport or to/from Equip Conference?

Yes, we try our best to make it as easy to possible for you to travel to Equip. If you would like help with transport, please contact us.

 

Is there any accommodation available the Night before Equip starts, if I travel to Equip from out of town?

Accommodation can be arranged at our venues for the Sunday night if necessary. This will incur an extra cost. When you register you will be given the option of registering for the extra night accommodation. 

 

Do I need to register for the evening meetings at Equip Conference?

Anyone is welcome to attend the evening meetings and you are not required to register. The evening meetings will begin at 7:30pm.

 

Can I attend the morning meetings if I am not registered for the conference? 

No. Unfortunately the morning meetings are limited to those registered for the conference. You are most welcome to attend the evening meetings (see above) or to register for the week!

 

I cannot attend the whole conference, can I still register for part of it?

Each day builds on the previous days learning at Equip Conference, and therefore we cannot accept 'part-time' registrations. If you cannot attend the whole week, perhaps wait for another year when you can! However please remember, the evening meetings at Equip Conference are open to anyone and there is no need to register to attend these. Please contact us if you have any questions about this.

 

I have registered but would now like to change my accommodation requirements, is that possible?

If you have any changes to make please contact us and we will do our best to help.

 

I have had some previous training, do I need to start at Strand 1?

Equip is set up as a 3 year program where each year builds on models taught in previous years. We therefore encourage delegates to begin at Strand 1.

 

Do you cater for special diets?

We have a very capable team in the kitchen and if you let us know of any special requirements when you register, we can make sure you are catered for. 

 

Can I go directly to Blue Skies on Monday morning to drop off my gear for the South Island conference?

No, please bring your bags to Kaiapoi High School where registration happens, and from here you will be given directions to your accommodation.
